Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-26

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Zapp Tickets, LLC ("Zapp," "we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). We follow Apple's App Store privacy guidance and strive to be transparent about our practices.

This policy is a living document and may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices.

2. What We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, make a purchase, or contact us for support. We may collect the following information depending on how you use the app:

Data Used to Track You

The following data may be used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies:

  • • Contact Info
  • • Usage Data
  • • Location
  • • Purchases

Data Linked to You

The following data may be collected and linked to your identity:

  • • Contact Info (name, email address, phone number)
  • • Usage Data
  • • Location (with your permission)
  • • Purchases and payment information

Data Not Linked to You

The following data may be collected but is not linked to your identity:

  • • Search History
  • • Identifiers
  • • User Content
  • • Diagnostics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • • Provide core features (creating accounts, booking tickets, managing favorites)
  • • Process purchases and maintain booking history
  • • Send transaction-related information and confirmations
  • • Send promotional communications (with your consent)
  • • Troubleshoot, secure, and improve app performance
  • • Personalize content and experiences where permitted
  • • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • • Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We may share limited information in the following circumstances, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations:

  • • Event Providers: When you purchase tickets, we share relevant booking information (such as your name and contact details) with the applicable track, promoter, or event organizer so they can fulfill your order and manage event attendance.
  • • Payment Processors: Payment and credit card information is transmitted directly to our third-party payment processor, Stripe. Credit card or other financial information provided during checkout is not stored on our servers.
  • • Service Providers: We may share data with providers that support app functionality (cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, SMS) under contractual data protection obligations.
  • • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

5. Your Choices

  • • You can update your profile details in the app at any time.
  • • You can manage location and tracking permissions in your device settings.
  • • You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from us.
  • • You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support.

6. SMS/Text Messaging

When you provide your mobile phone number to us — for example, during account registration, phone verification, or by enabling SMS notifications in your account settings — you consent to receive text messages from Zapp Tickets, LLC at the number you provided. We may send the following types of text messages:

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA): One-time verification codes (OTP) for account login and identity verification
  • Security alerts: Notifications about suspicious login attempts, password changes, account lockouts, or other security-related activity on your account
  • Account notifications: Booking confirmations, ticket delivery, payment receipts, account status changes, and profile updates
  • Event notifications: Reminders, schedule changes, cancellations, and other updates for events you have purchased tickets to
  • Customer care: Responses to your support requests, service updates, and follow-ups related to your inquiries
  • Marketing: Promotional offers, event announcements, and marketing messages (only if you opt in to promotional SMS in your notification preferences)

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and notification preferences. For transactional messages (verification codes, booking confirmations, security alerts, customer care responses), frequency depends on your usage of the Service. For promotional messages, you will only receive them if you have opted in, and frequency will not exceed four (4) messages per month.

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply to all text messages sent to or received from Zapp Tickets.

You can opt out of promotional text messages at any time by replying STOP to any promotional message, or by disabling SMS notifications in your account's notification preferences. Replying STOP will unsubscribe you from promotional messages only; you will continue to receive transactional messages (such as verification codes) that are essential to the operation of your account. To opt out of all text messages, you may remove your phone number from your account profile.

For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at developer@zappracing.com.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing tickets or using the Service. You may use the Service with an email-based account without providing a mobile phone number.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your phone number may be shared with our SMS service provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf, subject to contractual data protection obligations.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your interactions with the Service. These technologies help us operate and improve the Service, remember your preferences, understand usage patterns, and deliver relevant content.

Types of Technologies We Use

  • • Essential cookies required for core functionality (authentication, security, payment processing)
  • • Analytics tools to understand how the Service is used and to improve performance
  • • Third-party payment processor cookies (e.g., Stripe) necessary to complete transactions

Your Cookie Choices

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of the Service may become inaccessible or not function properly.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. At this time, the Service does not respond to DNT signals, as there is no industry-wide standard for compliance.

8. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information:

  • • Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • • Right to Delete: You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information. If this practice changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" mechanism.
  • • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided in the Contact Us section below. We will respond to verifiable requests within forty-five (45) days.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption of data in transit and secure server infrastructure. Credit card and payment information is processed by Stripe and is not stored on our servers; only limited transaction identifiers are retained for order history.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

10. Data Retention

We retain data as long as necessary to provide services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you request deletion of your account, your personal information will be removed from our active systems within ninety (90) days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or financial record-keeping. Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make purchases. Minors between the ages of 13 and 17 may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Where Event Providers require information about minor attendees (such as for spectator or racer registration), such data is collected on behalf of the Event Provider with appropriate parental consent.

12. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries with different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to having your data transferred to and processed in the United States.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
